Overall, a fine product on Vista using standard installation. We follows the Agile development methodology. Where is "Add?" Even going to Help and searching for "mini calendar" (the language of the manual) produced no results. We wanted to insert mini calendars that would give thumbnails of the months prior and subsequent. In another place, instructions refer to selecting Layout as if it's on the main tool bar, but we've never found it at all. For example, in "inserting a picture into a calendar cell," the instructions say to select Properties from the Edit menu.

Or, if they exist, we can't find them by the name the manual uses. It keeps referring to functions that don't exist. Our only big issue with this Print Shop product is the user's manual. This is really only a problem for us because our scanner has dust that we can't remove when working with older photos our digitally photographed images are fine. We've even tried saving the picture from the "fix" screen and inserting that corrected photo into the project.

The only software problem we've encountered so far is that the "fix" features of the photo editing work on the preview, but not on the actual picture. What a great product, at least compared with our 10-year old previous "model"! It has the same basic features that we were previously accustomed to using, plus much more robust editing tools. When we bought our new PC with Vista this year, we waited for Print Shop 23. So we're accustomed to fairly simple features. We acquired Print Shop 10 years ago when it came with a calendar creator product that we bought. but only AFTER you have entered all your personal information and their lengthy code! Contacting their "Customer Support" is a study in futility that even Microsoft (TM) cannot achieve.Īfter using so many versions of TPS, I no longer fight the system. Their on-line system tells users to return to the OEM (i.e., Best Buy) to resolve any and every problem. Word of warning: do NOT expect tech support. Not even Microsoft (TM) can hog system resources like TPS!īut TPS creates greeting cards that are so colorful, business sets that look so professional, invitations that are so much fun to receive, and personal stationery that is so unique that its users forgive its myriad quirks. then forgets where it loaded the program. No other program randomly ignores "user preferences" and multiple disk drives. (I've learned to live with disappointment.) But I keep buying TPS - despite my inevitable negative frustrations - in the hope that the inane program has been fixed. The program is easy to use - IF it installs properly it has great graphics - IF the program can find them it offers gorgeous fonts - that do not load with the other font files the templates are spot on - IF you align the printer every time you run the program.Įvery time I buy The Print Shop, I swear I will never buy it again.
